MORRISTOWN, N.J. - The College of Saint Elizabeth's women's volleyball team (7-9, 2-3 NEAC) stormed past the City College of New York, 3-0 (25-23, 25-23, 25-21) on Thursday evening.
After a back and forth first two sets with the Eagles closing out a two-point win in both sets, CSE took control of the third set by taking a 17-6 lead. Despite CCNY tying the match at 20, the Eagles scored four of the final five points to win the match in three sets.
Maura Farley led the Eagles on offense, finishing with 17 kills, 11 digs, eight assists and two service aces.Â
Charelle Charles finished with a game high nine kills while
Joralis Nivar added a match high 13 digs.
CSE returns to action on Saturday when it hosts four NEAC matches, kicking off with the Eagles and Cazenovia College at 10 am.
