MORRISTOWN, N.J. - The College of Saint Elizabeth's men's basketball team (4-10, 1-6 NEAC) used a strong second half to storm past the Nittany Lions of Penn State Berks, 93-78 on Wednesday evening.
Jason Saldiveri led the Eagles with 25 points and eight rebounds, and four steals.  
Tino Gonzalez and 
Cam Tucker each poured in 11 points while 
Jemar Jordan and 
Roland Romano pitched in with nine points a piece. 
The Nittany Lions opened the scoring early, taking a 12-7 lead three minutes into the game.  The Eagles came back on a 9-4 lead, capped by a Saldiveri three-pointer to square the game at 16.  Both teams played even over the next five minutes before 
Ty'ier Grier made a driving layup to give the Eagles its first lead of the game at 24-22.  CSE managed to up the lead to as much as six before Berks cut the deficit to two with 15 seconds remaining as the Eagles took a 40-38 lead into halftime.
Five minutes into the second half, Berks opened up its largest lead of the game at 52-45.  With Berks leading 58-56 at the 11:40 mark, the Eagles ran off an incredible 21-2 run over the next five minutes to blow the game open at 77-60.  The Eagles would not allow berks to get any closer than 12 before taking the game, 93-78.
CSE returns to action on Saturday when it travels to Wilson College for a 1 pm start.
