Eagles Close Out Inaugural Season at Keuka

Keuka Park, N.Y. - The College of Saint Elizabeth's men's basketball team (7-17, 6-14 NEAC) closed out its inaugural season at Keuka College, dropping the contest, 86-82.

Jason Saldiveri led the Eagles would 29 points and seven rebounds. Roland Romano added 17 points and ten rebounds while Marlon Hart pitched in with 13 points.

Trailing 24-20 midway through the first half, CSE used a 5-0 run to take a 25-24 lead with 7:16 remaining in the half. The Eagles would take as big as a five-point lead before Keuka came back and tied the score at 35 heading into halftime.

In the second half, Keuka took an early six point lead before the Eagles stormed back to take a 51-50 lead with 15:02 remaining in the game. With eleven minutes to play, Shaquan Mickens buried a three-pointer to give CSE its largest lead of the game at eight. With the Eagles leading by seven with seven minutes to go, Keuka scored nine of the next eleven points to tie the game at 76. 

Keuka would score the next basket and open up a five-point lead with two minutes remaining. Despite the Eagles cutting the deficit to three with 25 seconds remaining, they were unable to get any closer before dropping the game by four.

The Eagles conclude the season with a 7-17 record, including six conference victories. With the six wins, CSE finished in fifth place in the NEAC South division.
