READING, Pa. - The College of Saint Elizabeth's women's volleyball's historic season came to an end in the first round of the NEAC playoffs on Tuesday night, dropping the match at Penn State Berks, 3-0 (7-25, 11-25, 18-25).
The match marked the first ever North Eastern Athletic Conference playoff match for the Eagles. Â CSE finished as the fourth seed in the south division, with the Nittany Lions being the number one overall seed in the tournament.
On offense for the Eagles, the tandem of Stephanie Mitarotonda and Yasmin'na Muhammad finished with a combined ten kills. Maura Farley finished the match with 12 assists and a service ace while Diane Cuevas also added a service ace.
Defensively, the Eagles outblocked the Nittany Lions, 6-2 with
Christy Marte leading the way with four.  Jessica Garreffa had 11 digs, tied for a game high.  Farley and Cuevas combined for ten digs.
CSE finished the season winning four of the final seven games and played in its first postseason game since joining the NEACÂ in 2009.
