Morristown, N.J. - The College of Saint Elizabeth's softball team (17-20, 6-12 NEAC) won the first game of the doubleheader 6-3, before dropping the second game, 2-0 to Penn State Abington on senior day.
After the Nittany Lions took an early 1-0 lead, the Eagles stormed back with three runs in the bottom of the first inning in game, taking a 3-1 lead.

Samantha Albertson and
Alyssabel Garcia all had run scoring hits in the inning. Following the fourth run of the game for CSE in the bottom of the third inning, Garcia belted her third home run of the season in her final game, giving the Eagles a 6-1 lead.
Despite the Nittany Lions scoring a run in the fourth and seventh innings,
Marielis Alicea held on for the 6-3 win on the mound. The win was the seventh on the season for Alicea, who gave up just seven hits, three earned runs, while striking out six.
The Eagles struggled from the plate in game two, getting just four hits in the game.
Rachael Romer pitched well on the mound, throwing seven strong innings, striking out four and giving up no earned runs. The Nittany Lions scored an unearned run in the fourth and seventh innings, taking the game 2-0.
Allie Jenkins finished the day with four hits and two runs scored.
Danesha Triplett added two hits, two runs scored and a RBI while Albertson pitched in with a hit and two RBI's.

Sunday's scheduled doubleheader with Wilson College has been canceled due to expected rain and will not be made up. The Eagles finish the season with 17 wins, a new school record.
