Utica, N.Y. - The College of Saint Elizabeth's softball team (1-4, 0-1 NEAC) dropped their first conference game of the season to SUNY Poly, 19-0 on Saturday afternoon.
The Wildcats jumped out to a 4-0 lead five minutes into the first half. The Eagles offense struggled to get quality looks on net in the first half, getting just two shots off. The Wildcats added nine more goals in the half to take a 13-0 halftime lead.Â
Maria Trujillo had eight of her ten saves in the first half. SUNY Poly added six goals in the second half to take the contest 19-0.
CSE returns to action on Sunday when they travel to Buffalo, N.Y. to take on Medaille College at 1 pm.
