Rosemont, Pa. - The College of Saint Elizabeth's lacrosse team (0-2, 0-0 NEAC) was narrowly edged by Rosemont College, 13-10 on Wednesday afternoon.
After Rosemont scored the first two goals of the game,
Ashley Morera and
Kassandra Ortiz netted a goal of their own, tying the score at two. Rosemont responded with four straight goals, opening up a 6-2 lead. CSE would continue fighting as
Nicole Morera and Ortiz scored the next two goals to cut the deficit to two. Rosemont added the final goal before half to take a 7-4 lead into halftime.
CSE stormed out of the gate in the second half as
Amanda Inacio scored two minutes into the half, which was followed up by back to back goals by
Ashley Morera, tying the score at seven. The Ravens responded with two straight goals before
Riley Hosey scored her first goal of the game, slicing the lead to one. Hosey and Inacio would each add another goal, but it was not enough as Rosemont took the game 13-10.
Ashley Morera finished with her first hat trick of the season. Hosey, Ortiz and Inacio each added two goals a piece.Â
CSE has two weeks off before returning to action on Good Friday when they travel to Ramapo College for a 3:30 pm start.
