Reading, Pa. - The College of Saint Elizabeth's volleyball team (11-13, 5-8 NEAC) split a tri-match on Saturday afternoon, beating Gwynedd Mercy, 3-1, before falling to host Alvernia, 3-0.
In the opening match against Gwynedd Mercy, the Eagles defeated the Griffins, 3-1 (25-16, 20-25, 25-22, 25-23). Julie Misiejuk paced the Eagles with nine kills and a game high five blocks.
Nicole Morera added 29 assists and seven digs while
Stephanie Mitarotonda had 20 digs and four service aces.
In the second match against Alvernia, the Eagles fell 3-0 (19-25, 13-25, 14-25). For the match, CSE had 19 kills on 70 attempts, 27 digs, 17 assists and five service aces.
Kiana Cunningham finished the match with four kills and two assists while
Yasmin'na Muhammad had six kills and two service aces.
The Eagles return to action next Saturday for their final day of competition of the season, a tri-match hosted by King's Pa.
