Ithaca, N.Y.- The College of Saint Elizabeth's lacrosse team (0-4, 0-3 NEAC) dropped a second game of a back to back to Wells College, 23-2 on Sunday afternoon.
Wells College scored early and often, scoring 3 goals in the first 8 minutes to take a 3-0 lead.
Riley Hosey was able to get 4 shots on goal for the Eagles in the first half, all which were saved by Wells. The Express added 11 more goals in the first half to take a 14-0 lead into the break.
The Express scored 4 goals to open the second half to take an 18-0 lead. The Eagles finally got on the board when
Kassandra Ortiz scored her first career goal at the 12:08 mark in the second half. With 3:07 remaining in the game,
Kiana Cunningham scored her 3rd goal of the season. The Express would score 5 more goals in the half and take the game 23-2.
Sarah Briant finished the game with 8 saves in net while
Riley Hosey added a team high 5 shots on goal.
Kiana Cunningham also added a team high 4 ground balls.
