Morristown, N.J.- The College of Saint Elizabeth's volleyball team played their hearts out, unfortunately dropping a close match against King's College (22-25, 23-25, 23-25).
The Eagles and the Lady Lions battled back and forth in the first 2 sets before the Lady Lions took set 1 with 3 straight points to end the set. Set 2 turned out to be much of the same for both teams, battling down to the wire with King's College taking the final 2 points to win the set 25-23. Despite being down 13-3 in set 3, the Eagles managed a huge comeback to tie the score up at 22. CSE however couldn't get any closer, dropping the final set 25-23.
The Eagles played well again in game 2 against Pratt Institute, but fell in 3 sets (19-25, 24-26, 16-25). Nicole Morera had a team high 14 digs while Kiana Cunningham added 12 digs. Lynette Hardy added 17 assists at the net.
CSE returns to action on Tuesday when they host York College at 7 pm.
