Cobleskill, N.Y.- The College of Saint Elizabeth's Volleyball team finished 1-2 in the first NEAC weekend of the season.
In the first match first host Cobleskill, the Eagles fell behind early and couldn't manage a comeback, dropping the match (19-25, 29-31, 25-18, 22-25) on Friday night. Amy Cooper finished with a game high 29 assists while Nicole Morera finished with a game high 29 digs. Ayesha Brannon also finished with a season high 7 service aces.
In the second match vs. Keuka, the Eagles couldn't find their game, dropping the match (9-25, 13-25, and 18-25) on Saturday morning. Kiana Cunningham lead the team with 9 digs while Morera lead the team with 9 kills.
The Eagles finally played their best match of the weekend, defeating Cazenovia (25-23. 25-18, 21-25, 28-26). Katie Cooper dominated around the net with a game high 17 kills. Nicole Morera, Katie Cooper, Kiana Cunningham, and Natasia Wilson all finished with double digit digs while Amy Cooper added 26 assists.
The Eagles return to action on Saturday when they travel to New Rochelle for a tri-match with Mitchell College.
