Morristown, N.J.- The College of Saint Elizabeth's soccer team couldn't find their stride offensively, dropping the game to Mount Saint Vincent 7-0 on Sunday.
Carla Martinez led the Eagles on defense early, making a nice save to keep the game scoreless. The Dolphins wouldn't remain scoreless for long, scoring 3 goals to take a 3-0 lead. Valerie Lasko had a great scoring opportunity for the Eagles, but the Dolphins goalie made a diving save to keep the Eagles off the scoreboard. Mount Saint Vincent would add 2 more goals in the half to take a 5-0 lead into halftime.
The Eagles defense played much better in the second half, forcing multiple offsides by the Dolphins. Mount Saint Vincent would add 2 more goals to win the game 7-0. Carla Martinez finished with 14 saves in net for the Eagles.
CSE returns to action on Wednesday when the travel to Penn State Abington at 4 pm.
